This project involved the full renovation and extension of a Victorian terraced house in Hackney, blending the charm of its historic character with the elegance of modern luxury. Built Bub Designs collaborated closely with the client and architect to restore the property to its former glory while introducing contemporary features tailored to modern living. The ground floor was extended to create a spacious, light-filled kitchen and dining area, complete with bespoke cabinetry and high-quality finishes. Expansive glazing floods the space with natural light and creates a seamless connection to the garden, perfect for entertaining and family life. The loft extension adds an additional bedroom, and basement a spacious utility room and cloakroom WC, maximizing the property’s potential while maintaining its original proportions and
period character.

Throughout the home, careful attention was paid to preserving and enhancing Victorian features such as cornicing, fireplaces, and sash windows, which were sensitively restored. These were complemented by tasteful modern upgrades, including underfloor heating, sleek bathrooms, and a cohesive palette of timeless materials.
